The Siege Ram
The ram is a heavy mass which inserts the wood doors or the stone walls. The blows are given by a back and forth pass (photo below). To advance to the doors or the walls, the attackers sheltered under a mobile construction, covered with materials not very flammable, called cat or she-cat. It is the whole of the ram safe from a she-cat which is presented here.
